Disco Raja is an upcoming 2020 Telugu-language science fiction retro action film. VI Anand of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada fame has directed the movie. Ram Talluri has produced this science fiction under the SRT Entertainments banner. The film stars Ravi Teja in the title role along with Payal Rajput, Nabha Natesh, Tanya Hope, Vennela Kishore, & Bobby Simha in prominent roles. Disco Raja is scheduled to release in the last week of January 2020.

Plot
A medical researcher is working on prominent research and sends it to the Indian Medical Council. After getting rejected from the council and also denying permission for the project, he gets financial support from the corporate giants. Together will they be successful in testing it on Disco Raj & become Gods in medical history is the story plot.
Teasers
The first glimpse of the Disco Raja got released on 6 December 2019. The teaser backed by excellent visuals and thumping background music became trending within hours of its release. The film’s theme is a unique one set in the 1980s. It has received over 9 million views across YouTube.
Disco Raja Teaser 2.0
The 2.0 version teaser released on 13 January 2020. The new teaser introduced the main antagonist look in the film along with Ravi Teja’s mass retro dialogue at the end. It has also received a huge response with nearly 8 million views to date.

Nuvvu Naatho Emannavo
The first single from the movie released on 19 October 2019 on Lahari Music | T-Series YouTube channel. Legendary Singer S.P Balasubramanyam has sung the song with Sirivennela Sitaramasastri penning the lyrics. S. Thaman’s retro music backing SPB’s vocals made the song an instant chartbuster. The single has garnered over 4 million views to date.
Dilliwala
The second single “Dilliwala” got released on 20 December 2019. Aditya Iyengar, Geetha Madhuri, Rahul Nambiar have sung the song. Lyrics are given by Ramjogayya Sastry. The song became a big hit with over 1.1 million views on Instagram, a record for the most-streamed song on the site.

Rum Pum Bum
“Rum Pum Bum” song is another retro-style song in the Disco Raja album. Famous Disco singer Bappi Lahiri has sung the song with additional vocals by Ravi Teja and Sri Krishna. Sirivennela Sitaramasastri has also written the lyrics for this song.
Freak Out
“Freak Out” became the most expected song of the album since the fans heard its music in the teaser. The song was supposed to be released at the pre-release event of the film on 19 January 2020. Due to some final mixing delays, the song released on 21 January. The song composition is absolutely another level from Thaman and is continuing his hot trend in composition.

Disco Raja is a highly expected movie of Ravi Teja. He is having high hopes on the film since his past 3 movies failed miserably at the box-office. The teasers and songs have generated good buzz among the fans and movie lovers. Scheduled to release on 20 December 2019 initially, the film’s release got pushed by a month. Disco Raja got U/A certificate from the censor board and is ready to make you dance from 24 January 2020.
Review – Disco Raja 2020 Latest Telugu Movie
Disco Raja is a highly energetic scientific thriller. The movie is well made with sumptuous visuals, excellent songs & bgm, and brilliant performances. It’s Ravi Teja’s one-man show all the way, and his energy is unmatched in the entire Telugu film industry. Nabha, Payal & Tanya impress with their screen presence. Vennela Kishore, Sunil and Sathya are hilarious. Thaman is the hero film as he takes every single frame to another level with his terrific bgm. The songs are equally good & apt to the theme. Karthik Ghattamaneni’s visuals are of high standards. The movie is a bit slow in parts but entertaining enough. Director VI Anand is almost successful in giving yet another science fiction thriller. Disco Raja is the one not to be missed by Ravi Teja fans and is a good watch for everyone.

Box-Office Collections
Diso Raja was expected to release big in around 800 theatres in AP/TS. But the storm created during Sankranthi by Sarileru Neekevvaru & Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is still ongoing. Disco Raja managed to get around 450 screens only. The movie opened well with a limited release and managed to collect nearly ₹ 3 crores in AP/TS. The collections of the film got affected by the two Sankranthi biggies. It has raised almost ₹ 7 crore share from the two Telugu states over the weekend, and around ₹ 8.5 crores share worldwide. The collections are less for a Ravi Teja starrer and must hold well on weekdays for a respectable total.
