The Official teaser got released on January 8, 2020. The teaser gives the introduction of brother & sister relationship in the movie portrayed by Vikram Prabhu & Aishwarya Rajesh. It also looks like the film’s plot has a backdrop of revenge dramas. The teaser has clocked over 2 million views on Sony Music South channel.
Songs
Govind Vasantha was initially selected to compose the music for the film. Sid Sriram replaced him later after Govind Vasantha exited the project citing delays. Sid Sriram is also making his debut as composer with the film, & has sung five songs except one from the album. Siva Ananth has written the lyrics for the songs. The album has received much appreciation from both audience & film industry people.

Review – Vaanam Kottattum Tamil Movie Review & Box-Office
Vaanam Kottattum is a revenge drama with Mani Ratnam’s take on the plot. Brilliant performances from the lead cast back the film. The chemistry between Raadhika & Sarathkumar is as real as it gets. Vikram Prabhu & Aishwarya Rajesh intimacy has also been depicted appealingly. The rest of the cast including Madonna Sebastian, Shanthanu, Nandha have also done their part well. Sid Sriram has made an impressive debut with some lovely songs along with the background music scored partnering with K.
Mani Ratnam’s touch is evident on-screen & one can accept this as director Dhana is a long time associate of the maverick director. But, Dhana has also showcased his skills of direction by extracting the most matured performances from the actors.
Coming to the negatives, the plot is not compelling enough & the second half also feels a bit lag with some unconventional scenes.
Overall, Vaanam Kottattum could be a good one for the family audiences with the lead cast performances & is a strictly average one for others.

Vaanam Kottattum started on a decent note at the box-office. It earned nearly ₹ 1.75 crores on day-1 at the worldwide box-office. It maintained steady collections over the weekend & collected a little over ₹ 6 crores in 3 days.
In Chennai city, the movie has grossed ₹ 55 lakhs from the 3-day opening weekend & topping the city charts surpassing another new release Seeru.
