The official teaser of the film got released on 2 February 2017. The teaser hints about the basic plot of the film. The movie plot is about an engineering graduate who joins the hotel management course on his father’s insistence. The teaser is a fun-filled one with the usual one-liners from Santhanam. The teaser has clocked in over 3.5 million views on YouTube.

The official trailer released back on 27 May 2017. The trailer starts off with a glimpse of college episodes. The movie is all about the cooking competition which has prize money of Rs. 3 crores for the winner. Server Sundaram contains all the essential elements of being called a youthful entertainer with some heritage & patriotism. The trailer has garnered over 8 million views to date.
A specific promo showing Santhanam’s cooking style was also released a year later to confirm that the film will hit screens soon.

Release Date – Server Sundaram 2020 Tamil Movie
Server Sundaram started production back in 2016. The unit filmed in various locations of Srilanka and Maldives, including a significant portion in Chennai. The filming wrapped up in October 2016. It was scheduled to release on 7 September 2017 initially before postponing it to 29 September. Following the delays, the film’s release got rescheduled to 6 July 2018. Finally, Server Sundaram was all set to hit screens on 31 January 2020.
All of a sudden another Santhanam starrer movie Dagalty announced the same release date. The clash is being termed as “Santa-clash” too. At last, Server Sundaram withdrew from the race and released the new release date as 14 February 2020.
Owing to stiff competition from other movies on the Valentines day, the film has been postponed yet again with its release date pushed by a week. Now, Server Sundaram will release on the 21 February 2020.
