Kombu Vatcha Singamda Movie is a Tamil action film directed by SR Prabhakaran who had earlier worked with actor Sasikumar in Sundarpandian? The film stars Sasikumar and Madonna Sebastien in the lead roles and producer Inder Kumar also plays the villain in the film, while Parotta Suri, Yogi Babu, and Haresh Peradi play the lead roles in the film. Movie Story:
They are six friends who are inspired by the life of militant camping in their hometown. Their first lesson is to see every human being as equal without any caste discrimination. This idea settled in their hearts and they grew up to be reformers. Sasikumar and his five friends follow Periyarist principles in a village called Krishnarayapuram in Karur and stand up against social evils. Sasikumar, the son of Devendran (Mahendran), falls in love with Tamizhselvi (Madonna Sebastian), the daughter of Vellappan (Harish Perady), another big shot in the town. Although Sasikumar and Vellappan belong to the same caste, there is no consensus between the two as Vellappan was founded by a caste with a discriminatory attitude.
This irritates Sasikumar and his friends, who are often horny with him. In a matter of minutes, we will see local body elections, which will eventually affect everyone’s lives. Sasikumar and his friends themselves decided to split into two groups to support the two parties in the local body elections for personal reasons. However, they did not know that their decision would disrupt their friendship. Two of their friends lose their lives in this battle. Who is the reason behind this and what happens next? Movie Review:
SR Prabhakaran gave us a good revenge drama with the right action and emotional mix. Although the romantic sequences between Madonna and Sasikumar interrupted the flow of the film, the director made sure that the screenplay was attractive enough. The only downside, however, is that the storyline has nothing new to offer except good intentions. It talks about what discrimination leads to and how lives are turned upside down by caste politics.
The scenes in which Sasikumar expresses his concern for the older generation, who still adhere to the ideology of untouchability and oppression, are good. However, if the film had been released two years ago as expected, it would have really worked for the audience. While Tamil cinema has been talking about caste politics for some time now, this film has also become another film with the same subject. Although SR Prabhakaran had good intentions, he was able to focus more on writing in the scenes after the interval. Although Madonna’s acting lacks much scope, she fits the role of an innocent, charming Tamilselvi. The Dhibu Ninan Thomas background score connects the audience with some of the most emotional sequences in the film. Mahendran acted wonderfully as Devendran. The twist in the climax sequence and the performance of the famous director is one of the highlights of the film.
