Finally, Ajay Devgn and Tabu have announced the release date of their upcoming crime thriller Drishyam 2. Also starring Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta, the film is a remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name, featuring Mohanlal in the lead. The sequel of the 2015 crime thriller will release in November this year. Announcing the release date, Drishyam 2 releasing in theatres on 18th November 2022. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film also stars Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta. Drishyam 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey and Shiv Chanana.
Movie Story
Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran will be reprising their roles of Vijay and Nandani Salgaonkar and Tabu as IG Meera M. Deshmukh. However, the makers have kept Akshaye Khanna’s role under the wraps, and it will be interesting to see how his character adds to the storyline.
Drishyam chronicled the story of a family man Vijay Salgaonkar, played by Devgn. He did all he could to protect his family after an unfortunate incident involving his elder daughter brought them under the police’s scanner. Tabu essayed the role of Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police. Now, in the sequel, the makers have promised to take the audience on a yet another thrilling journey.
The Drishyam 2 story of the franchise centres on a family of four whose lives turn upside down following an unfortunate incident that happens to their older daughter. Ajay will be seen reprising his role of Vijay Salgoankar in the sequel, which also features Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta. The team will wrap the shoot in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
