Synopsis
Looking at the glimpses of Dagaalty, the film seems like a comedy & action entertainer with the hero & his friend trying to save the heroine from a group of gangsters.
Teaser
The Official Teaser of the film got revealed on 1 December 2019. The teaser is a laugh riot packed with the comic one-liner by Santhanam & Yogi Babu. It also shows a glimpse of action episodes too. Santhanam’s screen presence and Rittika Sen, who is debuting in Tamil, look good. The teaser has clocked in over 3 million views on YouTube.

Vijay Narain has given the music for the film. The album contains 5 songs with an additional Dagaalty Theme. The audio rights have been bagged by Star Music India.
Paaren Paaren
“Paaren Paaren” was the first song to be launched on the eve of New Year. Vijay Narain has composed & sung the song with lyrics given by Subu.
Koththa Koththudhu Boadhai
The second song “Koththa Koththudhu Boadhai” premiered on 10 January 2020. The song is sung by Santosh Narayanan & Govind Vasantha & Subu has written the lyrics for it.

Release Date
Dagaalty began production at the end of December 2018. The first look poster was released in June 2019. The entire shoot got wrapped up in September 2019. The teaser has gained excellent feedback from the audience. The teaser hinted that the movie would release in December 2019. Following massive competition from other movies, the film’s release got postponed. The makers later confirmed the release date as 31 January 2020.
All of a sudden, another long-delayed Santhanam starrer Server Sundaram announced the same release date as Dagaalty. With few days left for their theatrical release, the producers of both the films arranged a press meet & announced that Server Sundaram has been postponed to February 2020. So, Dagaalty will release on the scheduled release date of 31 January 2020.
