The continuous increase in the price of Bitcoin, and the wider crypto market in general, have meant that more and more people have been drawn towards it over the last year or so. Even though there has been a dip in the market in the last couple of months, overall, it is still extremely attractive, especially when you compare crypto prices to where they were 12 months ago. Thus, it will come as no surprise to learn that these coins are becoming attractive to people from all over the world, including celebrities. It is also quite notable that cryptocurrencies are being used in various industries and business ventures across the world already, especially those that operate online, which is also helping to increase their popularity. Bill Gates has been one of the richest and most successful people on the planet for years now, and he has often made early investments in projects which he thought have a lot of potentials. Bitcoin is one such venture where he got in early, although it must be mentioned that he received his first Bitcoin tokens as a gift. Since then, the Microsoft co-founder has reportedly invested around $200 million into the cryptocurrency as well as in other similar ventures.
Serena Williams
Serena Williams has a closer relationship with the world of crypto than you may realize at first – the tennis champion’s husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, is also one of the founding investors in Coinbase, which is one of the world’s largest crypto trading platforms. She has also put her money into crypto through her company, created in 2014, which invests in numerous business ventures in her name.
Elon Musk
Elon Musk is perhaps the person most associated with the cryptocurrency industry today. The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has been one of the most vocal advocates of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin and Dogecoin, and his tweets now have the effect of sending the prices of the tokens he tweets about soaring or crashing, depending on the tweet. Musk also has his own investments in various cryptocurrencies, while Tesla made huge news a few months ago when it announced that it had bought $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
Nargis Fakhri
The American actress who has primarily worked in the Indian Bollywood film industry has shown a lot of interest in Bitcoin, judging by her tweets on this subject, although we do not know if she has made an investment in the cryptocurrency market yet.
Gwyneth Paltrow
When the cryptocurrency market was expanding back in 2017 and reaching all-time highs, Gwyneth Paltrow joined the popular Bitcoin startup Abra as an advisor. She also promoted Bitcoin on Twitter through an article published on her Goop.com site, created back in 2008.
Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan has invested money in Bitcoin along with his son Abhishek Bachchan with a total of $250,000 over the last two years. In Dec 2019, his Bitcoin price rose to more than 100 million dollars within days but unfortunately, the spell didn’t last.
Ashton Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher is the co-founder of venture fund A-Grade Investments. He invested $12 million in Bitcoin on behalf of his venture. While speaking at the TechCrunch Disrupt NY conference he had said that the latest technology of Bitcoin is decentralized security and one has not to worry about Bitcoin.
