2019 Action Thriller Movie WAR Details.
2019 Bollywood Movie WAR written and directed by Siddharth Anand of Bang Bang fame. The film stars Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in pivotal roles with Vaani Kapoor as the female lead.
The other principal cast includes Ashutosh Rana, Anupriya Goenka, Dipannita Sharma, Soni Rozdan, Arif Zakaria, Mohit Chauhan, Sanjeev Vasta and Yash Raaj Singh.
Vishal-Shekhar composes the music, and Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara compose the background score. Aditya Chopra produces WAR under his banner Yash Raj Films. The movie title was changed from Fighters to WAR after the release of the teaser on July 15th 2019.
War Movie has created a lot of buzz since the announcement, and the hype was increased once the trailer got released, which garnered over 50 million views in a week.
The movie was also dubbed into Telugu and Tamil and was released with the original version on October 2nd, 2019 coinciding with the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi (National holiday).
WAR Movie Review:
War garnered mostly positive reviews from critics and the general audience praising the lavish making, actors’ performances and the thrilling action episodes but some criticized for its predictable screenplay. The songs were good but not catchy enough for the music lovers, but the background music was excellent to keep the audience hooked on to their seats.
The social media is flooded with raving reviews about the movie with many of them posting that it is nothing less than a Hollywood flick. The Twitterati are full of praise about the film for its stunning visual appeal, the actors’ screen presence, unique background score, ample thrills, twists and turns making it the Perfect Action Movie of the Year.
They also praised the dance-off in the movie between the two stars and called them the Best Dancers of Indian Cinema. Many of the fans are talking about Hrithik’s introduction scene as the best entry in the history of Indian cinema! And about the transformation of his body from his recent hit Super30. There is also a hint at the end of the movie with Hrithik saying that “The WAR is still on…” So we can expect a sequel or a franchise in the coming days.
WAR Box office Report:
WAR was expected to get a loud response as Hrithik enjoyed a box office success from his recent outing Super30 (a biopic on famous mathematician Anand Kumar). The bookings were extraordinary and even crossed collection of the biggies of the legendary Khan’s with pre-bookings itself.
War movie took a bumper opening at the box office as it was a national holiday. It minted a record ₹ 51.5 crore net in India on its opening day and became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie on an opening day.
It grossed over ₹ 200 crores at the end of its extended opening week and thus became the fastest to achieve this feat in 2019.
Till now it has collected an amount of ₹ 320 crores in India including the Tamil and Telugu dubbed collections becoming the Highest Grossing Bollywood movie of 2019 and the 3rd movie to cross ₹ 300 crores under Yash Raj Banner after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai (Both Salman Khan movies). The worldwide gross of the film is ₹ 473 crore till now thus attaining the Blockbuster Status at the Box office.
